Dec. 21-24, the 13 th metro academic exchange meeting sponsored by CCES-TUWB metro discipline team was held in Shenzhen. Totally 300 representatives from 18 cities attended at the meeting, and 102 papers were collected. 
 　　 2000: Oct. 29-Nov. 1, the 11 th congress of CCES-TUWB was held in Chengdu. 260 experts and manufacturer representatives from 150 domestic units attended at the congress. Wang Jianyu, vice president of CCES-TUWB delivered the opening address, and Li Juchang, vice president of CCES-TUWB delivered a keynote speech to the congress.
 　　 Oct. 22-25, International Anchoring Technique Seminar 1999, sponsored by CCES-TUWB, China Geotechnic and Engineering Academy, Tongji University, was held in Liuzhou. It was the first internal seminar on anchoring and grouting technology held in China. More than 200 experts in geotechnical field from abroad and home attended in the event, and more than 60 papers were exchange then.
 　　 2001: Jan. 1-11, the 2 nd seminar on tunneling and underground works of strait side banks co-organized by CCES-TUWB, Taiwan Tunneling Association and Taiwan University Civil Engineering Department was held in Taipei. Totally 175 representatives attended at the seminar. A 22-person mainland delegation headed by professor Zhu Weishen, director of underground works committee of Geotechnical and Engineering Academy, and Dr. Jiang Shuping, vice president of CCES-TUWB participated at the meeting. .
